1. About Cotton Archives

Cotton Archives is a creative studio space located in Los Angeles, California, owned and operated by Christina Cotton and Christal Cotton. We provide art workshops, sewing instruction, studio rentals, creative events, and physical products.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Website or services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent

  • You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms

  • You agree to all incorporated policies, including our Refund Policy, Studio Rules, Liability Waiver, and Rental Agreement

If you do not agree, you may not use our Website or services.

3. Services Offered

Cotton Archives may offer:

  • Art and sewing workshops and classes

  • Open studio access

  • Studio rentals

  • Events and private bookings

  • Physical product sales (online or in-studio)

4. Workshops, Classes & Events

a. Registration & Payment

Payment is required to reserve a spot unless otherwise stated.

b. Refunds & Rescheduling

All workshop refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

c. Liability Waiver Required

Participation in workshops or events requires agreement to our Sewing Machine & Equipment Use Waiver and Release of Liability. Failure to sign the waiver may result in denial of participation without refund.

5. Studio Rules & Safety

All guests, students, and renters must comply with the Cotton Archives Studio Rules & Safety Guidelines.

Failure to follow studio rules may result in:

  • Removal from the studio

  • Loss of equipment privileges

  • Termination of participation or rental

  • No refund, where applicable

Studio Rules are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Studio Rentals

All studio rentals are subject to a separate Studio Rental Agreement.

By booking or using the studio space, you agree to:

  • Be bound by the Rental Agreement

  • Assume responsibility for damages caused during your rental

  • Follow all Studio Rules & Safety Guidelines

Cotton Archives reserves the right to deny or terminate a rental at its discretion.

7. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

By entering the Cotton Archives studio or participating in any activity, you acknowledge that creative and sewing activities involve inherent risks.

You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release Cotton Archives, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from liability, as detailed in the Liability Waiver, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

8. Product Sales

When available, products may be sold online or in-studio.

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars

  • Sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing

  • Shipping timelines are estimates only

Refunds and returns are governed by our Refund Policy, where applicable.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website and within the studio—including artwork, images, logos, text, and designs—is the property of Cotton Archives and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.

10. Photography & Media

Unless otherwise indicated in writing, participants may be photographed or recorded during workshops or events for promotional purposes, subject to the consent options outlined in the Liability Waiver.

11. Personal Property

Cotton Archives is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio.

12. Third-Party Services

Our Website may link to third-party platforms (such as payment processors or booking systems). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

13. Disclaimer

All services and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cotton Archives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Participation in workshops or events

  • Studio rentals
